This course prepares lifeguards to recognize and respond to emergencies in waterpark environments, including wave pools, water slides, and winding rivers. Participants will learn specialized rescue techniques and surveillance strategies tailored to the unique features and challenges of waterparks. The course builds on core lifeguarding skills and includes scenarios specific to high-risk attractions. A current Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and successful completion of a swim skills assessment are required. Upon completion, participants receive a Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguarding certification, valid for two years.
